The docuseries is being produced by WildBrain, the company that owns the “Degrassi” franchise, along with the production company Peacock Alley.
The documentary will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews that promise to provide an inside look into the “Degrassi” lore and explore the show’s impact on teenage culture over its 40-year history. Interviews with the show’s creators, cast members, crew, and influential fans and filmmakers will discuss “Degrassi’s” legacy of tackling issues relevant to young adults in an authentic way.
Originally created in 1979 by Linda Schuyler and Kit Hood, “Degrassi” has been a seminal show for multiple generations of teenagers.
