In a delightful treat for Ghostbusters fans, Mckenna Grace, the star of the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel, has shared an exclusive sneak peek into the recreated firehouse headquarters. The young actress took to TikTok to share a short video, providing the best look yet at the iconic Ghostbusters base.
The video, set to a fast-paced version of Lizzy McAlpine’s “Ceilings,” features Grace sliding down the firehouse pole, whimsically passing by the Ecto-1, and eventually stepping outside to reveal the meticulously recreated exterior of New York City’s Hook & Ladder 8.
This TikTok video seems to be a follow-up to a previous one from Grace, where she was in character as Phoebe. However, this time around, she is seen donning the classic tan khaki Ghostbusters jumpsuit, complete with a “Spengler” nametag, adding a touch of authenticity to the sneak peek.
The recreated set has been a topic of discussion recently. Last week, on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen, Ghostbusters veteran Dan Aykroyd praised the film’s production design, stating, “We got the Cadillac in there, Ecto-1, and we got the firehouse. We actually built an entire replica of the firehouse on stage inside. They built the corner of Varick and North Moore inside, and they did it beautifully. Production design is spectacular on this show, again, I’m just so grateful to work with these people. They’re making the vision of the director and producer come to life, and it’s just fun to be able to play that character again and be in that world.“
