The talented Bella Ramsey, known for their captivating performance in ‘The Last of Us,’ has scored yet another lead role in a television series. The 19-year-old actor is set to join the cast of the second season of ‘Time,’ a drama series by Jimmy McGovern, as reported by Deadline. Ramsey will star alongside Jodie Whittaker, Tamara Lawrance, and Siobhan Finneran in the upcoming season.

The first season of ‘Time’ revolved around a men’s prison, delving into the lives of those incarcerated within its walls. In its second season, the show will shift its focus to a women’s prison, exploring the challenges and unexpected bonds formed by its inmates. According to Deadline, Bella will take on the role of Kelsey, who is thrown into this unfamiliar world with Orla (Whittaker) and Abi (Lawrance). Despite the ever-present threat of violence, they discover that an unexpected sense of community and understanding might still be possible.

“I’m very happy to be a part of this project, working with an incredible team and following on from a stellar first season,” Bella shared in a statement. “And it’s such an honor to be Kelsey; I’m really excited to experience the world through her for a few months.”

In addition to their role in ‘Time,’ Bella is also set to star in the period drama ‘Monstrous Beauty.’ They will play an aspiring playwright in the court of King Charles II, who suffers from a rare condition that leaves them entirely covered in hair. These two roles mark an exciting new chapter in Ramsey’s career, following the massive success of ‘The Last of Us,’ which has been confirmed for a second season.

With these new projects, Bella Ramsey continues to prove their versatility and skill as an actor, capturing the hearts of audiences worldwide. Fans eagerly await their performances in both ‘Time’ and ‘Monstrous Beauty,’ as well as the return of ‘The Last of Us’ for its second season.
