Nostalgia Unleashed: The Original Power Rangers Reassemble for an Epic Netflix Reunion Movie

NOTE: This article is 2 months old and may not include the most recent information.

Netflix has just released the trailer for the highly anticipated reunion movie special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, which brings back the beloved heroes from the early days of the Power Rangers saga.

The trailer unveils the shocking return of Rita Repulsa, the team’s long-time nemesis. Tragically, the Yellow Ranger, Trini Kwan, has been killed by Rita, setting the stage for an epic quest for justice by the remaining Rangers.

It is worth noting that Thuy Trang, the actress who portrayed Trini in the original series, tragically passed away in a car accident back in 2001.

The movie’s plot centers around the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reuniting thirty years after Zordon, the wise and powerful mentor, assembled the original team. Now facing a familiar enemy from their past, the Rangers must once again step up to save the world in the midst of a global crisis. The title, Once & Always, is a nod to the franchise’s iconic phrase, “Once a Ranger, Always a Ranger,” which emphasizes the lifelong bond and commitment shared by those who become part of the Ranger family.

The returning cast members include David Yost as Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger, Walter E Jones as Zack Taylor/Black Ranger, Steve Cardenas as Rocky DeSantos/Red Ranger, Catherine Sutherland as Kat Hillard/Pink Ranger, Karan Ashley as Aisha Campbell/Yellow Ranger, Johnny Yong Bosch as Adam Park/Black Ranger, Barbara Gordon as the voice of Rita Repulsa, and Richard Horvitz as the voice of Alpha.

Newcomer Charlie Kersh will portray Minh, the daughter of Trini Kwan.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always is set to premiere on Netflix on April 19th. Don’t miss out on this nostalgic trip down memory lane!
