David Harbour, who portrays Jim Hopper in the Netflix hit series, announced at the Middle East Film & Comic Con that the show will start filming its fifth and final season this June.
Although Harbour has mixed emotions about the show’s conclusion, he believes it’s “time for it to end.” So let’s brace ourselves for one last thrilling ride in the Upside Down!
What’s in store for Hopper in the final season? Harbour hinted that his character is back in the United States, and he’s definitely looking forward to indulging in some delicious cheeseburgers after spending most of season four in a Russian prison. Of course, we can’t wait to see Hopper reunite with Joyce and Eleven too!
While details about the final season are still under wraps, it’s clear that Stranger Things has become one of Netflix’s most popular shows since it premiered in 2016. The regular cast, including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Cara Buono, Maya Hawke, Sadie Sink, Priah Ferguson, and Brett Gelman, will all return for the show’s final season.
Although we don’t have an official release date yet, we’re hoping to see Stranger Things season five in 2024. Until then, let’s cherish every moment we have left with our favorite Hawkins residents!
