Jenna Ortega and Percy Hynes White, who previously worked together on season one of the Netflix series Wednesday, are reuniting for a new romantic drama called Winter Spring Summer or Fall. The film, which marks Tiffany Paulsen’s feature debut as a director, is being produced by the Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA) and will be distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution. Ortega is also serving as an executive producer on the project.

The film, which is being described as a mix of Before Sunrise and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, follows two teens (played by Ortega and Hynes White) who meet and fall in love over four significant days of the year. The script was written by Dan Schoffer and revised by Paulsen.

Ortega is best known for her roles in films such as Ti West’s horror film X and Scream 5, as well as HBO Max’s The Fallout. She is set to appear in the upcoming Scream 6 and films Finest Kind and Miller’s Girl. Hynes White has appeared in a number of films and TV shows, including Fox’s Marvel series The Gifted.

Paulsen is a successful writer known for her work on the Netflix film Holidate and the Amazon streaming film About Fate, starring Emma Roberts. She has also sold the feature pitch The Distance from Me to You to New Line, with Sabrina Carpenter attached to star and The Cartel producing.

MPCA has a history of producing successful romantic comedies, including Falling for Christmas and The Princess Switch trilogy, both of which were major hits on Netflix. “We’re excited to be further diversifying MPCA’s robust slate with Winter Spring Summer or Fall,” said MPCA’s Krevoy. “Jenna is enormously talented as an actor and producer, and we know both she and Percy will bring heartfelt depth to their roles and that, along with Tiffany’s experience with character and her vision for this film, will only enhance the brilliant script from Dan.”
