Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg appeared on the MSNBC cable news network to discuss the topic and President Joe Biden. The 18-year-old has been a leader in the cause over the last few years leading a youth environmental movement that has gone global.
With Joe Biden and Kamala Harris now in The White House, issues have already addressed which Thunberg has brought attention to like rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement and an end to the controversial Keystone Pipeline.
In the live interview with MSNBC Greta said President Biden needs to “listen to the science” and continue to fulfill campaign promises on climate issues. Thunberg added with the Biden administration in office that “the odds are much better now than they were two days ago.”
Greta Thunberg says that the climate goals from the Biden administration are “very far from being in line with the Paris Agreement” but welcomes the new tone from the president. Aired on 01/22/2021.
