Some exciting news broke today that Burns & Co. Productions has acquired the rights to bring legendary actor James Stewart’s life story to the big screen.
Titled “A Truly Wonderful Life,” the film will focus on Stewart’s valor and faith, reflecting on his Oscar win in 1941, his service as a combat pilot in World War II, and his starring role in Frank Capra’s “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
As reported exclusively by Deadline, director/producer Aaron Burns and his team have been developing the project with Stewart’s daughter Kelly Stewart-Harcourt as executive producer.
Deadline notes the Stewart family feels Burns is the right fit to tell this story, with Stewart-Harcourt saying “Now they can learn how that movie intertwined with other parts of his life.”
