The cast and crew have been diligently working to bring this beloved musical to the big screen.
On April 3rd, Ariana shared a behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram, featuring her and her dog Toulouse on set. Although the image was blurry, her heartfelt caption gave fans a glimpse into her feelings and experiences during the filming process. Ariana expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity and her admiration for her co-star and “twin flame/sister” Cynthia Erivo, with whom she has developed a strong bond.
Ariana also praised the “thoughtful, brilliant, compassionate, and warm” director Jon M. Chu, as well as the incredible cast and crew she has been working with. She shared how the filming experience has been transformative, helping her heal and grow in ways she never expected. Ariana admitted that she didn’t want the journey to end and wished to remain in the magical world of Oz forever.
