Madeleine McGraw shared her next movie on Instagram on Thursday, confirming she stars alongside Xochitl Gomez and Jack Champion in Bad Influence, a young adult horror film that has already wrapped production.
The casting was first reported by Deadline. McGraw plays Isabelle and Gomez plays Kira, friends driving home for spring break who pick up a hitchhiker, played by Champion, who is not what he seems. Deadline describes the film as a modern-day Thelma & Louise fueled by female rage.
Jason Perlman directs from a screenplay by Brandon Cohen. Debbie Liebling, Joel David Moore and Zachary Burgess produce.

McGraw’s post paired the casting news with behind-the-scenes photos of the three actors together. Photos of McGraw and Gomez together had drawn fan speculation, and the post confirms the two were at work on this film.
All three arrive with genre followings of their own. McGraw broke out as Gwen in The Black Phone and returned for the sequel, Gomez played America Chavez in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Champion plays Spider in the Avatar films and appeared in Scream VI. McGraw also stars with her sister Violet in Double Trouble, which opened in theaters on October 9.
No release date has been announced for Bad Influence.
