Frankie Muniz just gave Malcolm in the Middle fans the ultimate confirmation. The actor shared a heartwarming reunion photo on X, featuring him alongside his on-screen brothers, Christopher Masterson (Francis) and Justin Berfield (Reese). While the photo itself was a fantastic nostalgia hit, it was the caption that officially let the cat out of the bag.

Muniz wrote: “I was told not to post this yet, but then I remembered the theme song. I’m just too excited for y’all to see the new episodes and I miss my brothers.”

That reference to the show’s “You’re not the boss of me now” theme song was the perfect way to leak what industry publications like Variety have now confirmed: a Malcolm in the Middle revival is official.

The post from Muniz comes from the set of a new four-episode revival titled Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, which is being produced for Disney+. The new limited series will see the return of not only Muniz, Masterson, and Berfield, but also Bryan Cranston as Hal and Jane Kaczmarek as Lois.

The story reportedly centers on the chaotic family getting back together to celebrate Hal and Lois’s 40th wedding anniversary, pulling Malcolm and his own daughter back into the fold. Filming has already wrapped, and Muniz’s post is the first exciting glimpse fans have had of the reunited brothers.
