Originally shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery in a cost-cutting move, the hybrid animation film was thought to be lost until Ketchup Entertainment stepped in with a reported $50 million deal to acquire global rights. The studio has since positioned itself as a champion for abandoned Looney Tunes projects, following its release of The Day the Earth Blew Up, which earned $15.1 million worldwide. “Ketchup is single-handedly saving the Looney Tunes,” moderator Paul Scheer quipped, praising the company’s efforts.
The panel was full of humor and Looney Tunes-style antics. P.J. Byrne, who plays ACME attorney Bill Pellicano, stormed the stage in character, waving “cease and desist” papers, while Scheer jokingly urged the audience to boo him. Forte, who stars as a personal injury lawyer representing Wile E. Coyote, played along, embracing the over-the-top courtroom rivalry at the heart of the film.
