Warner Bros. has released the full trailer for Superman, the upcoming DC film written and directed by James Gunn. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on July 11 and introduces a new take on the character as part of a broader reorganization of the DC film slate.

David Corenswet portrays Clark Kent, a Kryptonian who attempts to live a quiet life on Earth while reconciling his identity and abilities. The trailer depicts major events in the storyline, including a scene in which Superman intervenes in an international conflict and is subsequently taken into custody. Rachel Brosnahan appears as journalist Lois Lane, while Nicholas Hoult plays Lex Luthor, who characterizes Superman as a disruptive presence rather than a man.

The footage also includes a brief sequence involving Krypto, Superman’s dog, dragging him to the Fortress of Solitude following an injury. Inside, robotic attendants assist Superman in recovery, adding a moment of dry humor to the otherwise high-stakes tone.

The cast features a range of DC characters, with Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. Supporting roles include Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Terence Rosemore as Otis, and María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer.

This is the first solo Superman film since 2013’s Man of Steel, and it arrives following the conclusion of the previous DC cinematic timeline, which wrapped with Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom in 2023. Superman is the first major release under the direction of DC Studios co-heads James Gunn and Peter Safran.
