Sabrina Carpenter Christmas Special Coming to Netflix

Netflix has announced that Sabrina Carpenter will star in an upcoming Christmas special, featuring performances of songs from her Fruitcake EP, along with covers of classic Christmas songs. The special will also include additional musical performances, comedic guests, duets, and cameos.

In a statement, Carpenter said, “The holidays have always been so special to me. I am excited to bring my take to a classic holiday variety show—infusing my love of music and comedy to make something that is uniquely me.”

This project follows the success of Carpenter’s album Short n’ Sweet, which recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200.

The special is produced by OBB Pictures and At Last Productions, with Carpenter joining as an executive producer alongside Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Simone Spira, Kfir Goldberg, Bill Perlman, and Janelle Lopez Genzink. Directed by Sam Wrench, with Nikki Boella as showrunner, the production aims to offer a fresh take on the traditional Christmas special format.

Michael D. Ratner, executive producer and CEO of OBB Media, highlighted Carpenter’s creative approach: “Sabrina’s vision to subvert the classic holiday special has been clear since day one.”

The release date for the Netflix special has not yet been announced.
