The upcoming HBO prequel series “Welcome to Derry” (working title), set in the universe of Stephen King’s “It,” has announced the addition of ten new actors to its cast. This expansion includes Alixandra Fuchs, Kimberly Guerrero, Dorian Grey, Thomas Mitchell, BJ Harrison, Peter Outerbridge, Shane Marriott, Chad Rook, Joshua Odjick, and Morningstar Angeline. Details of their specific roles remain undisclosed.

Bill Skarsgård will reprise his role as Pennywise, the iconic antagonist from the 2017 film “It” and its sequel “It Chapter Two.” Skarsgård is also on board as an executive producer, collaborating again with key members of the film franchise: director Andy Muschietti, producer Barbara Muschietti, and co-producer Jason Fuchs. Andy Muschietti is set to direct four of the nine episodes in the series.

The series, derived from a story by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Fuchs, is based on Stephen King’s novel “It.” Executive producers include Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, Fuchs, Brad Caleb Kane, David Coatsworth, Skarsgård, Shelley Meals, Roy Lee, and Dan Lin. Fuchs, who wrote the teleplay for the first episode, will serve as a co-showrunner alongside Kane.

In addition to the new cast members, the series had previously announced the inclusion of Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, James Remar, and Stephen Rider.

Here is a brief look at the new cast members’ previous work:

“Welcome to Derry” aims to further explore the haunting world of Derry, building on the foundation established by Andy Muschietti’s feature films, which collectively grossed $1.17 billion worldwide.
