CBS’s Young Sheldon concluded its seven-season run with impressive ratings, drawing 9.32 million viewers for its series finale. This marks the show’s highest same-day audience since its third season finale in April 2020.
The final night featured two episodes, with the first attracting 9.15 million viewers and the second slightly more. Both episodes ranked just behind the post-Super Bowl premiere of Tracker for same-day viewership among all scripted series this season.
In the key adults 18-49 demographic, the first episode scored a 0.71 rating, equivalent to 937,000 viewers, while the finale achieved a 0.76 rating, or about 1.01 million viewers. These numbers represent the highest ratings for Young Sheldon this season in this demographic.
Throughout the season, Young Sheldon averaged 7.03 million same-day viewers, maintaining its position as the most-watched network comedy for the fifth consecutive season. The finale episodes exceeded this average by 30 percent and 32 percent, respectively.
CBS’s streak of having the most-watched comedy of the season continues for the 19th year. This record began with Everybody Loves Raymond in 2004-05 and includes Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, all executive produced by Chuck Lorre.
On the same night, the finale of CBS’s So Help Me Todd attracted 4.4 million viewers, while ABC’s 911 was the top performer among adults 18-49 with a 0.44 rating, or 580,000 viewers.
