18-year old actress Mallory James Mahoney, known for starring on the Disney Channel series “Bunk’d,” recently made her directorial debut. She directed an episode in the show’s upcoming 7th season, which will also be its last.
Mahoney shared the exciting news on social media on January 17th with a photo of the script for the episode she directed – number 19 of season 7. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity and said that directing the episode has been a great learning experience for her as an actor.
Mahoney joins three other “Bunk’d” stars who have stepped behind the camera as directors on the show: Miranda May, Peyton List, and Karan Brar have all directed previous episodes.
When “Bunk’d” wraps up its expanded 7th season later this year after a successful 6-season run, it will mark the end of the longest running Disney Channel live-action series. But Mahoney can add TV director to her resume along with actor thanks to this experience directing herself and co-stars on “Bunk’d.”
