The Hilary Swank drama ‘Ordinary Angels’ has shifted its release date from October 13 to February 23, 2023. This scheduling change was made to avoid opening against the highly anticipated Taylor Swift concert film ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’.
Swift’s movie is projected to earn over $70 million when it debuts in October. As a result, the ‘Ordinary Angels’ producers opted to open at a less competitive time. Universal’s ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ also rescheduled to October 6, likely to steer clear of the Swift film’s strong box office draw.
‘Ordinary Angels’ tells the true story of Sharon, a small-town Kentucky hairdresser played by two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank. She reaches out to help a widower struggling to care for his two daughters, one of whom needs a liver transplant.
