The dynamic duo, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, are back to tickle your funny bone in the sequel to their 1997 cult classic, “Good Burger.” The pair, who are not just starring but also producing the film, recently gave an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour to Al Roker from TODAY. The tour was filled with surprises, including the revelation of Roker’s cameo in the upcoming movie!

The original “Good Burger” was a spin-off from the popular Nickelodeon sketch show “All That,” and the sequel has been eagerly anticipated by fans who grew up watching the show. The details about the movie are still under wraps, with the TODAY team even blurring out the face of one actor in the behind-the-scenes footage. However, what we do know is that the movie is set to release on Paramount+ later this year.

Since the end of their sitcom “Kenan & Kel” in 2000, Thompson has been a regular on “Saturday Night Live,” making a name for himself as the longest-serving comedian on the show. Mitchell, on the other hand, gave a hint about the plot of the sequel, saying, “Ed owns the place now — Good Burger — Dex comes back around, they haven’t seen each other in a few years, so there’s some things that unfold with that.”

The original “Good Burger” was a sleeper hit, earning around $24 million against a budget of just over $8 million. It found success in the home video market and has since become a cult classic. Fans of the original have been lobbying for a sequel for years, and it will be fascinating to see how the characters have evolved over time.

The sequel will see the return of Josh Server as Fizz, Lori Beth Denberg as Connie Muldoon, and Carmen Electra as Roxanne. The new cast members include Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, Kamaia Fairburn, Alex R. Hibbert, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkler, Emily Hinkler, and Anabel Graetz.
