Fans of Violet McGraw, who gained widespread recognition for her role in the surprise horror hit ‘M3gan,’ have reason to be excited. The young actress has signed on to play the lead role in ‘A Wonderful Way with Dragons,’ which will serve as Delfine Paolini’s directorial debut.
Slated to begin production in Upstate NY this summer, ‘Dragons’ promises an intriguing story about survival and power dynamics among a group of six children stranded on a mysterious island. With the backdrop of a global pandemic and the presence of a possibly imaginary, sinister friend, the film delves into the complexities of human relationships in extreme situations.
Joining McGraw in this ambitious project is a talented ensemble, including Ben Ahlers from ‘The Gilded Age,’ Miguel Angel Garcia of ‘The Long Game,’ Taylor Geare of ‘Inception,’ Donnie Masihi from ‘This Is Us,’ Ian Foreman from ‘Let the Right One In,’ and Theodore Dalton, a former fashion model who recently appeared in a Ralph Lauren ad campaign.
Paolini, who has written, directed, and produced ‘Dragons,’ was inspired by the fragility of society during the early days of the pandemic. “Civilization begins when individuals within a community support each other. Once the desire is lost to help one another, society devolves,” she explains.
The film’s producers, Urs Hirschbiegel, Delfine Paolini, Adam Lukens, Russel Cramer, Gautam Kadian, and Sarah Rosen, are joined by executive producer Rene Bastian. With such a unique premise and a talented cast, ‘A Wonderful Way with Dragons’ is sure to be a highly-anticipated film.
