Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are hard at work on the set of the highly anticipated ‘Wicked’ movie, and Ariana has just given us a special behind-the-scenes look! The two stars are playing Glinda and Elphaba, the famous witches from the beloved Broadway musical.
Ariana recently shared some cute black-and-white photos on Instagram with Cynthia, hinting that they’re “up to (no) good” on set. We can see Ariana rocking her famous ponytail and a polka-dot dress, while Cynthia stuns in a plaid dress and tall dark boots.
This new movie adaptation of ‘Wicked’ is directed by Jon M. Chu and will be released in two parts. Jeff Goldblum, who was recently confirmed to play the Wizard, praised his co-stars Ariana and Cynthia during an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The talented cast also includes Jonathan Bailey from Bridgerton as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and other stars like Bowen Yang, Adam James, Keala Settle, and Bronwyn James. The first part of the ‘Wicked’ movie is set to hit theaters on November 27, 2024, with the second part coming the following year.
