It’s time to mark your calendars, Good Trouble fans! The Freeform hit show has announced that the highly-anticipated fifth season will premiere on Thursday, March 16th at 10/9c. And as if that news wasn’t exciting enough, the network has also revealed that a familiar face will be making a guest appearance in the new season.
Maia Mitchell, who played the beloved character of Callie Adams-Foster, will return to the show in a guest-star capacity. Mitchell’s character left the show in season 4, episode 2, when it was revealed that Callie would be moving to Washington, D.C. to pursue her dream job at the ACLU. Fans of the show were devastated to see her go, but they’ll now have the chance to see her back on their screens.
Mitchell mentioned in interviews around that time that the decision to leave the show was due to her wanting to be home in Australia with COVID and everything going on.
Mitchell’s final episode as a regular saw Callie’s on-and-off love interest Jamie (played by Beau Mirchoff) show up on the same flight as her, also heading to D.C. for a new job. So it’s safe to say that fans will be hoping that Callie’s return will bring with it an update on the status of her relationship with Jamie.
The fourth season of Good Trouble ended with a bang, with Dennis and Davia sharing a kiss, Isabella giving birth and changing her mind about adoption and Mariana going undercover at Silas’ farm. The fifth season promises to be just as exciting and fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Coterie residents. Make sure to tune in to the premiere on March 16th!
