In a TikTok video posted to his account, Schnapp lip-syncs to a sound that says, “It was never that serious. Quite frankly, it will never be that serious.” In the caption, Schnapp writes, “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know.'”

This announcement comes after Schnapp opened up about his character’s sexuality on Stranger Things last summer, stating that Will is definitely gay and has feelings for Mike.
