Rachel Zegler Joins Apple’s Animated Musical ‘Spellbound’

Rachel Zegler will voice the lead in ‘Spellbound’ from Apple and Skydance. The ‘West Side Story’ star will provide the voice of Princess Ellian in the feature. The news follows a year for Zegler which includes the actor’s breakout role as Maria in Steven Speilberg’s adaptation of ‘West Side Story’ and taking on the lead in Disney’s upcoming live-action ‘Snow White’ which is currently in production.

In Apple and Skydance’s upcoming animated feature, Rachel Zegler’s character Princess Ellian is described as the tenacious princess who must go on a daring quest to save her family and kingdom after a mysterious spell transforms her parents into monsters and threatens to cover Lumbria in darkness forever.
