Editorial Standards

Editorial Standards

This page sets out how Trevor Decker News sources, verifies, labels, and corrects its coverage. It is the focused home for our editorial policies. For the full story of the site, founder, and archive, see About Trevor Decker News. To reach the editor, use the contact page or email .

How we source and verify

Our reporting is built on primary material wherever possible: official studio, network and label announcements, press releases and press-site assets, verified social accounts belonging to the people involved, and chart data from Billboard and the official streaming and radio trackers. When we build on another outlet’s original reporting, we say so in the story and link to it. If we cannot stand behind something, it does not run.

Photos and press materials

Images are credited to the studio, network, label, photographer or press office that supplied them. If you hold the rights to an image used here and would like it credited differently or removed, email and we will act on it.

Embargoes

We honor embargoes we have agreed to. If you need one respected, state the date and time in writing before sending material.

Opinion and analysis

Commentary, reviews and opinion pieces are identified as such and reflect the writer’s own view. They are never influenced by, or exchanged for, access.

Artificial intelligence

Articles on Trevor Decker News are written and edited by a human. We do not publish AI-generated articles, quotes or images.

Corrections

We correct errors quickly and openly. If something here is wrong, email with a link to the article and the detail in question. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the story with the date rather than changed silently; typographical fixes are made without a note.

No sponsored content. Ever.

Our commitment is to honest, unbiased coverage our readers can trust. We do not accept product samples, sponsored partnerships, or any form of compensation from brands or companies in exchange for coverage. Opinion pieces and commentary are entirely our own, formed independently and free from outside influence.

Trevor Decker News is also always ad-free. We never show ads.

We do not publish guest posts, sponsored posts or contributed articles of any kind. Sending material for consideration creates no obligation or expectation of coverage.
