With a sequel to Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch officially in the works, young star Maia Kealoha is already thinking ahead—and she’s got some ideas about which characters she’d love to see join the fun.

During a recent appearance at Comic-Con in San Diego, Kealoha, who plays Lilo, joined co-stars Tia Carrere and Sydney Agudong to celebrate the franchise and tease what’s next. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, she revealed her personal wish list for the upcoming film.

“I want there to be an Angel, and then I want to have that alien that likes to eat sandwiches,” Kealoha said. “I also want Captain Gantu in it. And maybe where Sydney [aka Nani] is still in college, but her college is in San Diego.”

Angel, known to longtime fans as Experiment 624, is a pink alien and Stitch’s love interest introduced in the Lilo & Stitch: The Series animated spinoff. The sandwich-loving alien Kealoha referenced is Reuben—Experiment 625—who shares many of Stitch’s abilities but prefers stacking sandwiches to causing chaos. Captain Gantu, meanwhile, served as a recurring antagonist throughout the original franchise.

Helping bring the sequel to life is Chris Sanders, who co-directed and co-wrote the original animated film and provides the voice of Stitch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sanders is returning to write the script for the live-action follow-up.

As development continues, Kealoha’s enthusiasm highlights just how much love the cast and fans alike still have for the Lilo & Stitch universe. Keep checking Trevor Decker News for the latest updates as this heartwarming story continues to evolve.
