The ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Trailer Is Here and Enid Is in Mortal Danger

Here we woe again! Netflix has just dropped the official trailer for the second season of its smash hit, Wednesday, and it promises a darker, more dangerous return to Nevermore Academy. The biggest revelation from the new footage is a chilling vision that sets up the season’s central conflict: Wednesday foresees the death of her best friend, Enid Sinclair.

The trailer opens with Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) returning to Nevermore, a place she dryly refers to as “the scene of the crime.” She is now a reluctant campus celebrity, hailed as a savior by her fellow outcasts, much to her visible dismay. But Wednesday has far more pressing matters to deal with than unwanted fame.

Through one of her psychic visions, Wednesday sees her werewolf roommate Enid (Emma Myers) meeting a grim fate. “Enid dies,” Wednesday confides in her mother, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones), “and it’s all my fault.” This suggests Wednesday’s own actions may be the catalyst for the tragedy she must now prevent. She vows to save Enid, “or die trying,” setting the stage for a high-stakes, personal mission.

The trailer also gives us our first look at some new faces, including Steve Buscemi as Nevermore’s new principal, Barry Dort. It confirms a major shift in tone for the new season, leaning more heavily into horror and mystery while moving away from the romantic entanglements of season one—a change star and producer Jenna Ortega has been vocal about.

Netflix also confirmed the release schedule. Season two will be split into two parts, with the first four episodes debuting on August 6 and the final four arriving on September 3.

Get ready for a season packed with deadly premonitions, new adversaries, and Wednesday’s signature razor-sharp wit.
