There’s nothing like a mother’s love. Universal Pictures has released the final trailer for Other Mommy, the new horror film from producer James Wan and director Rob Savage, and it is chilling.
The trailer teases the entity’s creepy refrain, «Can I go inside your heart?» as Bela, a young girl played by Arabella Olivia Clark, grows closer to a sinister presence in her home that looks uncannily like her own mother.
Jessica Chastain stars in a dual role as Bela’s mother and the entity known as Other Mommy. Jay Duplass plays Bela’s father, Daddo. The supporting cast includes Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed, and Karen Allen.
Other Mommy is directed by Rob Savage (Host, The Boogeyman) from a screenplay by Nathan Elston, based on Josh Malerman’s bestselling novel Incidents Around the House. James Wan produced through his Blumhouse Atomic Monster banner, with Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Savage, Malerman, and Ryan Lewis serving as executive producers.
Other Mommy opens in theaters on October 9.
