Trevor Decker News readers have been following the development of Jo – The Little Women Musical, a new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, Little Women. Now, after much anticipation, this musical is poised to make its first appearance in the West End in 2025, with a semi-staged concert performance marking a major milestone along the way.

Jo – The Little Women Musical features a lush, cinematic score by Dan Redfeld, with a book and lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej. The story centers on Jo March, an ambitious young woman who turns her profound loss into purpose by writing the story of her family. This fresh adaptation dives deep into the emotional journeys of each of the March sisters, inviting audiences to experience Alcott’s classic with a new perspective.

In January, an international ensemble of Broadway and West End stars, including Christine Allado, Chris Mann, and Sophie Pollono, will record a concept album at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. This album, backed by a 29-piece orchestra and produced by Grammy-winning Nigel Wright, will offer a preview of the musical’s emotionally rich score through a series of track releases and videos. The studio album will be followed by a concert version of the show, directed by JoAnn M. Hunter, whose extensive Broadway experience includes work on Bad Cinderella and School of Rock.

Composer Dan Redfeld shared that this project has always been about bringing Jo – The Little Women Musical to audiences worldwide with an orchestra and stellar cast. Co-lyricists Harding and Koladziej echoed this excitement, emphasizing their joy at working with such a talented ensemble to reimagine Little Women for a multi-generational audience.

Produced by Los Angeles-based 4 Times Entertainment, Inc., Jo – The Little Women Musical is poised to bring Alcott’s timeless characters to life in new ways. The concert’s date, venue, and ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks. For more updates, stay tuned to the musical’s official channels:
