Universal Studios is preparing to launch a new attraction, Wicked: The Experience, at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in late October. The immersive offering is designed to promote the highly anticipated film adaptation of the Broadway musical Wicked, which is scheduled to release on November 22.
Universal Orlando Resort
At Universal Orlando Resort, Wicked: The Experience will be located in the former UNIVRS store near the park’s main entrance. Guests will enter a recreated version of the Land of Oz, featuring key moments and elements from the movie. The attraction will display costumes and props from the film, allowing visitors a closer look at the production. Themed dining options will also be available, adding another layer of immersion for fans of the story.
Universal Studios Hollywood
Meanwhile, Universal Studios Hollywood will introduce its own version of the experience. The park’s Feature Presentation store will be transformed, displaying additional props from the upcoming movie. Exclusive Wicked merchandise will be available for purchase, and themed food will be served at Universal CityWalk, further enhancing the thematic atmosphere.
Enhancing the Fan Experience
The initiative aims to provide fans of the musical and film with a hands-on, immersive experience in both locations. Photo opportunities, exclusive merchandise, and themed food offerings are designed to immerse guests in the world of Wicked, blending the movie’s promotional campaign with an engaging theme park experience.
Universal Studios’ launch of Wicked: The Experience not only supports the film’s release but also offers a new attraction for park visitors. Both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood will unveil the experience in late October, ahead of the movie’s premiere in November.
