Born on July 17, 1935, in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, he became known for his roles in iconic films such as “The Dirty Dozen,” “MASH,” “Klute,” and “The Hunger Games” franchise. His performances earned him a reputation as one of Hollywood’s most versatile and respected actors.

His breakthrough role came with the 1967 World War II film “The Dirty Dozen,” where he played Vernon Pinkley.
