Nickelodeon is reviving the popular animated franchise “The Fairly OddParents” with a fresh sequel series order – fulfilling longtime fans’ wishes for more wacky godparent hijinks.

Titled “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,” the 20-episode order brings back beloved fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda, with original voice talent Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris attached. The duo will guide new main character Hazel Wells through wish fulfillment adventures in the character’s new hometown of Dimmsdale.

Series creator Butch Hartman and executive producer Fred Seibert are behind the new installment, aiming to capture the signature humor and charm that earned the original show a 10-season run from 2001-2017.

The sequel series will first air on Nickelodeon this spring, with Netflix bringing “A New Wish” to its international streaming platform later in the year.

With both familiar faces and new characters, “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish” promises to grant fans’ desires for more humor and imagination when the wish-granting adventure series returns after over five years off the air.
