A comforting new sound is emerging from the highly anticipated Broadway-bound musical “JO – The Little Women Musical.” The show’s latest single, “Little Women,” was released today across all major streaming platforms, offering audiences a melodic glimpse into the show’s tender themes of family, wisdom, and enduring values.

Set as the emotional fulcrum of Act One, “Little Women” unfolds as the family matriarch, Marmee, imparts wisdom to her four daughters. The lyricists skillfully transformed this iconic scene from Louisa May Alcott’s novel into a lyrical homage to the passage of wisdom from one generation to the next.

Musically, composer Dan Redfeld drew inspiration from esteemed film composers to capture this pivotal moment. His Celtic-inspired melody performed by the Hollywood Studio Symphony evokes a sense of comfort and nostalgia, echoing the warmth of the family home.

The single features commanding vocals by Kim Huber as Marmee, alongside Miyuki Miyagi, Sophie Pollono, Veronica Robinson, and Jenna Lea Rosen as her daughters. This blending of soaring harmonies symbolizes both the closeness of the March sisters as well as the timeless messages woven throughout Alcott’s enduring story.

“Little Women” emerges during an exciting season for “JO – The Little Women Musical.” Following sold-out shows in Los Angeles and New York last year, the production continues to garner attention under acclaimed Broadway producers Willette and Manny Klausner and Consulting Producer Ken Davenport.

The show’s journey now crescendos towards an exclusive New York industry event on January 30th, with plans underway for casting and a director announcement. As the musical prepares for its next steps towards Broadway, the heartwarming sounds of “Little Women” invite us to reflect on the subtle yet profound wisdom revealed through melody, lyric, and song.
