Disney Adjusts “Snow White” Release Date Starring Rachel Zegler

NOTE: This article is 11 months old and may not include the most recent information.

In response to the ongoing actors’ strike, Disney has made adjustments to its 2024 theatrical release calendar. A prominent change is the postponement of the live-action adaptation of “Snow White,” with Rachel Zegler in the lead role. The film, titled “Disney’s Snow White,” was initially set to premiere on March 22, 2024. The new release date is now slated for March 21, 2025.

The actors’ strike, which has been in effect for over 100 days, continues to impact the entertainment industry’s scheduling. Earlier in the week, representatives from Disney and other major Hollywood studios communicated the pressing nature of the strike’s influence on film release timelines. Reliable sources have indicated that a decision deadline regarding film schedules could be imminent, potentially within the first week of November.

Given the current circumstances, there is an expectation of further modifications to the 2024 movie release calendar, particularly those planned for the summer season.
