Max Shines, Netflix Takes a Dip in the Latest Streaming Service Rankings

NOTE: This article is 12 months old and may not include the most recent information.

Streaming services are a big part of our entertainment, and it’s always interesting to see which platforms are keeping us most entertained and satisfied. The 2023 Streaming Satisfaction Report from Whip Media has given us some fresh insights and a few surprises too!

Max, which you might remember as HBO Max, has come out on top, being the streaming service that has the highest customer satisfaction, even though its score has slightly dropped from 94% to 88% since last year. Not too far behind, Disney’s platforms, Hulu and Disney+, have secured themselves the second and third spots, showing they’re also favorites among viewers.

In a surprising twist, Netflix, a long-time favorite for many, has slipped down to the sixth spot this year. While it’s still great at recommending shows and providing a smooth user experience, people are feeling it’s not providing the best value for money. However, it’s not all gloomy for Netflix, as it still holds a special place for many viewers – it’s the service most people would choose to keep if they could only choose one.

While some of the big names are seeing a bit of a dip, other services like Apple TV+ and Peacock are climbing up the ranks and gaining more love from viewers. Apple TV+ has even managed to secure the fourth spot in overall satisfaction, and Peacock has seen a big jump in satisfaction thanks to its original content.

Some Notable Points from the Survey:

  • Max is leading not just in overall satisfaction but also in offering quality and a variety of original content.
  • Prime Video and Hulu are holding their ground, with people likely to keep subscribing.
  • Peacock and Apple TV+ have seen big improvements in how much value they offer.
  • Paramount+ is getting a thumbs up for its movie offerings, with better quality and variety.
  • AppleTV+ and Peacock are improving year after year in all areas, from shows to user experience.

In conclusion, the streaming landscape is changing, with some new players doing better and some previously dominant platforms seeing a bit of a shakeup. It’s all about providing great content, a smooth user experience, and ensuring subscribers feel they’re getting their money’s worth.
