Amazon Studios has released the official trailer for their upcoming sci-fi thriller film “Foe”, starring Saoirse Ronan.
“Foe” is set approximately 40 years in the future and centers around a married couple, Junior and Henrietta, living an isolated life on their farm. Their world is turned upside down when a stranger named Terrance approaches them with an unusual offer for Junior to join a space mission. The catch is that a robotic copy of Junior would remain on Earth with Henrietta while the real Junior is gone.
The film is directed by Garth Davis, known for directing the Oscar-nominated drama “Lion” and the biblical drama “Mary Magdalene”. In addition to Saoirse Ronan as Henrietta, “Foe” also stars Paul Mescal as Junior and Aaron Pierre as Terrance. Mescal was previously nominated for an Oscar for his acclaimed performance in “Aftersun”.
The trailer provides a first look at the futuristic sci-fi setting and the complex premise involving human-robot dynamics. “Foe” has generated anticipation with its talented cast and Ronan’s return to thought-provoking sci-fi after the acclaimed “Ex Machina”.
“Foe” is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 6, 2022. The trailer is now available online for viewers to get a glimpse into the tense and gripping sci-fi world depicted in the upcoming film from Amazon Studios.
