In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, Jenna Ortega discussed her recent rise in popularity due to her role in the Netflix show “Wednesday.” She acknowledged that there has been a shift in her life and that it’s been an adjustment, but she’s grateful for the support and appreciation she’s received from fans.
Regarding the viral dance scene in “Wednesday”, Ortega shared that while some of the moves were planned, others were improvised, and she even stays up at night thinking about what she could have done better. She also revealed that she avoids going down the “TikTok rabbit hole” as she doesn’t believe it’s a healthy place to be.
When asked about the upcoming film “Scream 6”, Ortega shared that the movie is set to release in March and it’s particularly gory. It was shot in Montreal last summer and she was excited to be a part of the iconic franchise. She also mentioned that there was a lot of pressure coming into the role, but now she’s come to accept it, and it’s an honor to work with someone like Ghostface.
Lastly, Ortega stated that the cast of Wednesday has become very close and feels like family, and that she’s still in contact with them almost every day.
