Jeff Goldblum is now in early talks to play the Wizard in Universal’s upcoming film adaptation of the Broadway musical “Wicked”

Jeff Goldblum is in talks to play the Wizard in the upcoming version of “Wicked,” which will be made by Universal.

If the deal goes through, the Jurassic Park star will be part of the cast along with Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, and Jonathan Bailey from Bridgerton. Jon M. Chu is in charge of the adaptation for the big screen of the Broadway hit which will be split into two movies.

Wicked will start filming in January, and the two parts will be shot right after each other. The first film will come out on December 25, 2024. The second will be released the next year at Christmas.
