NOTE: This article is 5 months old and may not include the most recent information.

In the next installment of “A Christmas Story,” Ralphie is getting ready for his comeback.

In the first teaser trailer for the forthcoming sequel to the Christmas classic A Christmas Story, which will be shown on HBO Max, scenes from the first film are re-created using recognizable locations, and memorable lines from the previous film are played over a Christmas-themed musical track.

At the conclusion of the clip, the main character Ralphie, played by Peter Billingsley and now an adult, can be seen grinning and putting on his glasses in a close-up shot.

The classic scene from the original movie in which the mall Santa Claus pushes Ralphie down the slide is referenced at the conclusion of the trailer by way of a snippet of “Ho ho ho, The scenario takes place after Santa informs Ralphie, “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid,” in response to Ralphie’s request for a much sought-after Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas.

Originally released in 1983, A Christmas Story is about a little boy named Ralphie who is nine years old and wishes for a Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas set in the 1940s.

In the sequel, set in the 1970s, an adult Ralphie returns to his childhood home on Cleveland Street to give his own children a wonderful Christmas similar to the one he had as a child.

A Christmas Story Christmas premieres on HBO Max on November 17th.
