‘Stranger Things’ Scores 13 Emmy Nominations, But Leaves Out Entire Cast

NOTE: This article is 1 year old and may not include the most recent information.

The nominations were announced on Tuesday for the 2022 Emmy Awards. One of the most popular series, ‘Stranger Things’ ended up getting 13 nominations for production – however, fans are furious after not one cast member was nominated for their roles. Sadie Sink, who portrays Max Mayfield in the Netflix series has been a standout this season along with fellow castmates Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, and Gaten Matarazzo.

Speculation from loyal fans continues as many are left confused and upset over the snubbed cast. Season 4 was released in two parts with volume one being released in May followed by volume 2 released on July 1. Some speculate that the second half being released after the eligibility cutoff date for nominations was a factor. However, fans are quick to argue that episode 4 titled “Dear Billy” which was part of the volume one release qualified for actor recognition among its nominations.

Volume 2 is said to be included for next year’s Emmy nominations since it was released after the eligibility window for 2022. While fans are hopeful, frustration continues on social media.
