Avril Lavigne Drops New Track “Bite Me” And Fans Are Feeling Nostalgic

NOTE: This article is 2 years old and may not include the most recent information.

In this day and age, one would say that artists of past generations have a harder time keeping up with those of new. This couldn’t be further from the truth for Avril Lavigne.

Next summer will mark the 20-year anniversary of the singer’s debut album Let Go. An album that has the honor of being the highest-selling album by any Canadian artist of the 20th century.

Despite all the time that has passed Avril Lavigne as an artist of longevity and relevancy, today was proof of that.

Her newest single Bite Me hit airways this morning and has already racked up over 25k+ views on YouTube

Bite me is the 1st single Lavigne has released under Travis Barker’s DTA records it also marks her first release since 2017 and fans are rejoining. So much so that “Avril Lavigne is coming” was trending worldwide for hours in the AM

And with good reason too because the second the song starts it feels like you’re being teleported to the early 2000s. With lyrics like
“Should’ve held on, should’ve treated me right
I gave you one chance, you don’t get it twice
Hey you, and we’ll be together never, so baby, you can bite me”

Coupled with classic pop-punk guitar riffs it’s the quintessential Avril Lavigne sound we all know and love.
If you’ve been an Avril Lavigne fan at any moment of your life you won’t want to skip this track. Trust us

Avril will appear on The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS tonight (November 10) to perform the song.
