Nickelodeon aired its Nick News special on Tuesday night. Hosted by Keke Palmer, the special focused on educating young viewers on what voting is, the history of elections and voting in the United States. Palmer also helped focus on various different issues that directly affect young people even if they are not old enough to vote yet.

“Kids Pick The President” featured young people via a Zoom call sharing their thoughts and opinions on topics. A child psychologist was also featured on the special giving parents some advice on how to engage in a healthy discussion about the election.

The history of the electoral college was also explained and how it affects the election process.

COVID-19 was the main topic and the young guests opened up about how the pandemic and the “new normal” has affected them.
