Richard Thomas, the original ‘John Boy,’ unveils a heartwarming trailer for The CW’s “A Walton’s Thanksgiving” Special

The CW network has released an official trailer for “A Walton’s Thanksgiving,” their forthcoming holiday special. The special, which is a follow-up to last year’s hugely popular “A Walton’s Homecoming” Christmas movie event, promises to have the touching family and uplifting themes that people have been waiting for. The trailer is introduced by Richard Thomas, who played the original John Boy Walton in the Walton’s television series in the 1970s.

Once again, Magnolia Hill Productions, with Sam Haskell serving as executive producer, was in charge of overseeing the production of the television movie.

In this revised version of the franchise, the Waltons family still lives during the Great Depression, but there is an effort to diversify the cast and storylines, which has proved to be successful so far.

As seen by the trailer, which you can watch above, faith is a recurring theme in Magnolia Hill Productions’ television shows and films.

Watch ‘A Walton’s Thanksgiving’ on November 20 on The CW.
