Viewers of Great American Family’s Christmas programming lineup will hear a theme song by Christian music singer Matthew West. On Monday, the artist stated that his original song “Come Home for Christmas” will serve as the official theme song for the network’s Christmas programming beginning November 3.

Candace Cameron Bure, the face of Great American Family Network’s Christmas programming, approached West about contributing a theme.

In a tweet, West shared the news on Monday evening “I am honored to announce that my new song “Come Home for Christmas” will be the theme song for the Christmas season on the @GAfamilyTV Network starting on 11/3!”

“My dear friend @candacecbure reached out a few months ago…” Matthew West continues. “…telling me about all she has been working on at the network for this holiday season and suggested I help bring in a musical aspect to the programming.”

Great American Family just celebrated its one year on the air. It is run by Bill Abbott, the former CEO of Crown Media, which operates the Hallmark Channel networks.
