The BBC has released a video featuring renowned British vocalist Kathrine Jenkins and citizens throughout the United Kingdom singing “We’ll Meet Again” a song that has a strong sentimental meaning to the country as it was released during World War 2. Originally performed by Vera Lynn the video begins with Kathrine performing the song alongside black and white footage of Vera Lynn before going back and forth to different people representing different parts of the UK.
The performance of “We’ll Meet Again” by Kathrine Jenkins was originally part of the BBC VE Day 75 broadcast saluting those who served during the Second World War.
Reaction to the video on social media has moved many to tears around the world as we continue to battle the crisis.
