Hillsong Worship & Lauren Daigle Take Home Big Wins At 50th Annual Dove Awards

The biggest names in inspirational music attended the 50th annual Dove Awards which honors the top names in contemporary Christian music and gospel. Two of the major winners of the night were Hillsong Worship and Lauren Daigle. Hillsong Worship the Australian-based collective took home the win for Worship Song of the Year for “Who You Say I Am” while Lauren Daigle took home the biggest honor for her crossover inspirational hit “You Say” as Song of the Year.

Both winners gave inspiring acceptance speeches talking about the power of the individual praise anthems however for many Hillsong’s speech stood out. You can watch their speech below.

Taking home the win for both Artist of the Year and Song of the Year Lauren Daigle took the stage and shared how from the very day of its release the song “You Say” has been inspiring people. Having massive crossover success and famous names as fans of the song including Selena Gomez among others “You Say”quickly became the clear front-runner for Song of the Year and represents a level of success for a contemporary Christian song not seen in many years.
