If you’ve been following the Netflix series Stranger Things since the beginning you know that the character of Hawkins Indiana police chief Jim Hopper (who is played by David Harbour) lost his daughter Sara to cancer. This was revealed in season one of the Sci-Fi series as we have watched Hopper come to terms with the loss of his daughter.
This is what makes Hopper’s connection with Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown) so powerful. She has become his daughter and fills a void that the loss of Sara left. For fans of the series with a good eye, you know that Hopper has held onto a blue hair tie that Sara used to wear. He would often wear this on his arm in previous seasons. However, in season 3, we see that Eleven now wears this around her wrist. This little easter egg was noticed by Reddit users. This isn’t the first time Eleven has had the hair tie though as we see her wear it in the final episode of season 2 when she attends the Snowball Dance but the fact that Eleven continues to wear it is very moving.
This revelation has touched the hearts of Stranger Things fans as Jim Hopper has always been a fan-favorite character in the series.
Stranger Things season 3 premiered on Netflix July 4th, 2019 and is available now. A fourth season is expected to be announced soon.
