Lauren Daigle was one of the big winners at Sundays Grammy Awards taking home the contemporary Christian album of the year for look up child. The album has seen tremendous success on the charts even Poppin secular artists. During her acceptance speech, Lauren gave thanks to Jesus for the voice that he has given her. other big names in the running for the award included Michael W. Smith, Jesus Culture, Elevation Worship and Zach Williams.
“This record, I’ll tell ya, it came from a season of just realizing that we’re just supposed to look up. With everything we do we’re just supposed to have love, and I love that music gives us the opportunity to look up,” Daigle said in her acceptance speech.
“It gives us the opportunity to spread love to the entire world, and so I just wanna thank Jesus for letting me be a part of this, that he’s put a voice in my throat. For everybody who’s a writer, whoever’s involved in all this, I think it’s just such a gift. This community of music, I love it so so much and I’m so incredibly grateful,” she said.
