Jackie Evancho will headline during the Festa Italiana Festival in Milwaukee, Wisc. On July 24, 2016. Evancho will perform at the BMO Harris Pavilion, which is part of Henry Maier Festival Park, also known as the Summerfest grounds, on the lakefront.
Evancho is 16 years old and has been a national singing sensation since she was just 10 years old, when she debuted on NBC’s hit talent show “America’s Got Talent.” Jackie was named the runner-up and was immediately signed by Columbia Records.
Jackie will release her fourth studio album later in 2016. Her single and video, “Writings On The Wall,” a cover of Sam Smith’s hit, was released earlier this year. The video is attached to this article.
Jackie Evancho’s string of successful recordings includes “Dream with Me,” “O Holy Night,” and Heavenly Christmas,” and a cover of “Safe and Sound” Taylor Swift’s song from “The Hunger Games.” Her third full studio album was “Awakening,” which was released in 2014 and entered the Billboard Classical Chart at number one.
The pop single “Apocalypse” was released in April and was a different style for Jackie, who usually sings classical music.Billboard Magazine reported that Jackie is experimenting with different styles of music. Evancho stated, “I’m finding different sides of my voice with every new song I sing.”
The young singer has performed as such remarkable venues as the lighting of the National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C., at the Imperial Palace for the Royal Family in Japan, at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in Russia, and for the Pope during his 2015 visit to the U.S.
Jackie has only one other live performance listed on her schedule, according to the Jackie Evancho website. She will perform at Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey on Nov. 25, 2016.
