School of Rock gets second season

We’re only four episodes in and it was reported that the family comedy School of Rock is being picked up for a second season composed of 13 episodes by Nickelodeon.

The show staring Breanna Yde, (Tomika) Ricardo Hurtado(Freddy), Jade Pettyjohn(Summer), Lance Lim (Zack), Aidan Miner (Lawrance), and Tony Cavalero (Mr. Finn) is  based on the 2003 Paramount movie starring Jack Black, hails from Paramount Television. It marked the first series order for the then-newly launched TV division of Paramount Pictures, and a corporate synergy play between the Viacom companies.

Unlike previous music based shows that featured bands such as Big Time Rush, that catered to the young female demographic, School of Rock appeals to a wider audience and it has a more genuine feel to it. Not only does the cast have major talent putting their spins on hits like “Lips Are Movin’  or “What ILike About You”, but their first original songs are just as catchy

School Of Rock, which airs Saturdays, averages almost 2 million viewers a week we continue to the format of season 1 going forward with season 2 and we can assure you as fans of the show it’s going to be good.
